Itinerary

  • Day 0
    Stopover: Buenos Aires

    Arrival at Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) and transfer to the hotel. Check-in to a 4-5 star hotel for a 1-night Pre-cruise Accommodation.

  • Day 1
    Flight to Ushuaia & Embarkation
    Buenos Aires – Ushuaia

    Transfer from the hotel to the Buenos Aires Airport (EZE), for the flight to Ushuaia. Upon arrival to Ushuaia International Airport (USH), transfer to the port for embarkation.

  • Day 2
    At Sea!
    Crossing the Drake Passage

    Aboard the SH Diana, set sail and cross the Drake Passage en route to Antarctica. Take time to appreciate the vastness of the open ocean. Watch albatrosses and petrels glide overhead, and keep an eye out for whales surfacing alongside the ship.

    Attend engaging lectures by the expedition team to prepare for what lies ahead. Unwind in the spa, sauna, or observation lounge while taking in the views of the Southern Ocean.

  • Day 3
    On the way to Antarctica
    Ushuaia - Antarctic Peninsula

    Get your first glimpses of Antarctica’s icy landscapes as the voyage brings you near the Antarctic Peninsula. Look out for towering icebergs unlike anything you’ve seen, seals lounging on drifting ice, and penguins going about their day.

    The expedition team will go over safety reminders and procedures ahead of the upcoming landing. Onboard, enjoy top-tier amenities, from fine dining to a cozy library filled with tales of polar exploration.

    Antarctic Peninsula

    Plenty of activities await in the Antarctic Peninsula. (Zodiac Boats, Hiking, Snowshoe Excursions, Kayaking, and Polar Plunge)

    Antarctic Peninsula
    Zodiac Ride

    (Between Day 4-8) Hop on a Zodiac boat to reach the shore, where you’ll get up close to wildlife, ice formations, and mountain scenery. The weather can be unpredictable, making the ride a bit bumpy at times, but the highly trained expedition team will ensure a safe and steady landing.

  • Day 6
    Antarctic Peninsula
    Hiking

    (Between day 9-12) Hiking is always enjoyable, but imagine doing it on ice. The rugged terrain, glaciers, and deep snow mean hiking excursions in Antarctica are occasional, but when the chance arises, we take it. Generally, there are no trails, but the experienced expedition team will lead the way and share their knowledge as you go.

    Snowshoe Excursions

    (Between Day 4-8) Many of the Antarctic sites you’ll visit are blanketed in snow, and one of the best ways to explore them is on a guided snowshoe walk. The crunch of snow beneath your feet and the crisp, clean air makes for an unforgettable experience.

    Antarctic Peninsula
    Kayaking & Polar Plunge

    (Between Day 4-8) For the brave at heart and those seeking a once-in-a-lifetime Antarctic experience, this is your moment. Take the icy Antarctic waters with a thrilling polar plunge.

    For a more peaceful yet equally immersive adventure, try kayaking. Quietly paddle through Antarctica’s icy waters, weaving among majestic icebergs. (Additional fee applies.)

    Leaving Antarctica

    As the SH Diana turns her bow northward toward Ushuaia, take this chance to immerse yourself in the Antarctic environment before it fades with the rising temperatures. The sea comes alive with seabirds, from albatrosses to petrels, soaring gracefully above the waves.

    Reflect on your Antarctic adventure, enjoy lectures by the expedition team, or relax in the spa or observation lounge as the ship sails the Southern Ocean.

    Approaching Ushuaia

    The final stretch brings you back to Argentina’s southern tip. Enjoy SH Diana one last time. Enjoy gourmet meals, the sauna, or share memories with fellow travelers.

    End of the Journey
    Antarctica – Ushuaia – Buenos Aires

    As SH Diana docks at the port in Ushuaia, disembark and step ashore. Then, board your flight back to Buenos Aires, enjoying inflight meals along the way.
